Based in Leopoldsburg, Isaev is a painter who often incorporates drawings and mixed media into his artworks. His paintings mainly feature figurative and illustrative imagery, often with bold, contrasting colors and a rather unbound application technique. The main subjects of his paintings are landscapes, figurative illustrations and studies on various organic textures using mixed media. Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination. Such is the case for the current Synesthesia-series the artist is working on. The paintings establish a link between the images' reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on the topic of one’s visual perception by examining the neurological phenomenon. Saïd Isaev is currently studying at PXL-MAD School of Arts in Hasselt.
